The day job

I joined EY's Technology Consulting practice in July 2024 as a Senior Analyst and was promoted to Associate Consultant in September 2025. Since then I've been on a large SAP S/4HANA rollout for an oil & gas retail client in the UAE, on the data migration and SAP Enable Now workstreams. It's work where small mistakes compound: a field that looked optional turns out to drive a report, and a mismatched record stops a process in UAT. I've learned to like that pressure.

What it taught me

Migration is maybe a third technical. The rest is coordination: our team, the client's extraction team, module consultants, ABAP developers, SIT and UAT teams, all needing the same data to mean the same thing. The most valuable skill I've picked up isn't writing a better LSMW, it's making sure everyone downstream can actually use what we load.

Building on the side

Outside consulting I run Adky Labs, a one-person indie studio where I design and ship mobile apps: Moniqa for budgeting, FocusFlux for focus, Recupio for daily wellbeing, and TheStoicMonk before them. Building alone forces every decision, from what to leave out to how onboarding should feel, and that product sense makes me a better consultant when I'm sitting with business users.

Where I'm heading

I want to grow toward roles that sit between business and technology: transformation strategy, data-led decision making, and eventually leading programmes rather than workstreams. I'm open to relocating for the right opportunity.
